Just waiting on 2 more books and I am set!

August 2012

August is here!! It has felt like forever since I have written anything....actually I think since Disney back in May! It's been a crazy summer, lots going on, lots to do to prepare for this semester. Ordered my nursing books and my uniform, just waiting for their arrival :) I have to admit I'm rather nervous for this semester because it means more to do and more to study, also more hours of studying (which I do enough of). Hoping to do a craft here soon so I can upload some pics!! I am in the mood to canvas paint, so we shall see! Happy Summer all!

Disney Handbag

Disney is in 6 days already! So I wanted to get crafty this year and so I made myself a shirt and a handbag. I used iron-on stickers and 3-D Fabric Paint. So the shirt is plain pink with Mickey and Minnie, but I wanted to keep it simple. The bag on one side says "Disney 2012" and on the other it says, "Dreams Do Come True". I hand stitched the Minnie Mouse head border around the top and you can find the ribbon in any craft store. Personally JoAnn Fabrics is my favorite :) The bag I used was a normal jean bag that you can buy at any local craft store as well.

Hello May!

COLLEGE IS DONE FOR SUMMER!!! Just thought I'd let everyone know :) This means DISNEY in just 8 days! Tonight I may get some painting done and I am hoping to post my crafts and sewing projects as well. So glad I now have time. Welp I'll keep everyone updated :)

SO CLOSE!

This was the last week of classes and finals are next week! Anxious, nervous, but so ready to be done. I feel pretty accomplished and am ready for a nice summer. My good friends Nicole and Paul are getting married in less than 3 weeks, then me and Frank are off to Disney! STOKED! I am super excited about starting my crafts and sewing again...it's been far too long and I miss it terribly. See ya'll soon! :)

Happy Easter 2012

Happy Easter everyone! "He is Risen, He is Risen indeed!" It has been a great day with Frank and my family. Started out by going to the traditional church service this morning with the choir and band, brunch, and now relaxing as the food settles. I can not believe this is Frank and I's 4th Easter together. Time has flown by! Coming up next week is his birthday, my birthday, and our 3rd year anniversary. It's crazy that it's all within a 4 day range! When we get married it would have to be sometime during the same week so we can celebrate everything at once. Funny right? I'm just so thankful and blessed to be alive and to have such great family to spend this day with. Thank you Lord for dying for me.

30 more days!

Not that I am counting down or anything..but only 30 more days left until the semester is over! A lot of new and exciting things are happening over the summer. Going to be CPR certified towards the end of April, June 5th I have orientation to talk about all the shots and fingerprinting I need so that I can start clinicals in the fall. We also will get to try on our uniforms and get our badge. I've waited 3 years for this moment and I am very anxious! Just think, in 2 more years I'll have my bachelors (BSN).

In about two weeks I am turning the Big Ole 21. Want to hear the best news? I have a 7 chapter exam the day after so me having a fun birthday is probably a joke. Momma said she'd take me out for lunch and we're celebrating the 20th so not a big deal :)

Anyways, after school is done with I am hoping to hop right back into painting and sewing. My blog has been feeling pretty un-crafty, and I'd like to change that :)
